Video: Kubica May Lose Arm After Rally Crash

 »  »  »

Formula 1 star driver Robert Kubica has suffered a terrible crash during the Ronde di Andora rally in Italy, on Sunday. After losing control of his rally car, Robert Kubica hit a wall at high speed. The 26-year-old Kubica was rushed to a hospital in Genoa with severe injuries and fractures to his left arm and leg. Unfortunately, Robert Kubica is at risk of losing his left arm because of low blood circulation. Doctors have operated on him for seven hours and managed to restore circulation in his left arm, but they doubt he will be back for this year's Formula 1 season.

Robert Kubica's life is not in danger, but most believe that because of his injuries, he may never return to motor racing.

However, Robert is not at his first major crash. Let's remember the 300 km/h crash from the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix. He managed to get back behind the wheels after that one. Let's hope he'll find the strength to do it this time too.

The video lower down this page shows what's left of Kubica's rally car after this horrific incident.
