This video was filmed by the camera on-board a police car, in Summerville, South Carolina. On Friday, March 13, 2011, 38-year-old Arthur Lee Thompson was stopped by a patrol officer as he was a suspect in a Wal-Mart robbery case. As he got out of his black SUV, Thompson attacked the police officer and stole his cruiser. After a mad chase, Thompson crashed the stolen cop car into the side of a truck.

According to an employee of the robbed store, the suspect hit him and took off in a green Jeep Grand Cherokee. The SUV in this police video could be the car mentioned by the Wal-Mart employee.

During the chase, Thompson drove carelessly, and almost caused several other

crashes before hitting the truck. This could be caused by his lack of driving skills, or because he was maced twice by the officer.

Arthur Lee Thompson is accused of a long list of felonies and is looking at several years in prison.
