Williams Cosworth Formula 1 team has unveiled today the Williams 2011 F1 car, the FW33, which, as Rubens Barrichello calls it, it will be aggressive. The Williams 2011 F1 car had its debut this morning in Valencia, before going to fight in the 2011 FIA Formula One World Championship.

The Williams 2011 F1 car comes with the smallest seven-speed gearbox ever produced by Williams F1 that works in conjunction with the new pull-rod rear suspension. The Williams 2011 F1 car will no longer feature the double diffuser from last year, since it was banned by the FIA. The Williams 2011 F1 car also comes with KERS, which recovers the energy generated by the brakes and exhaust system, which is then stored in a battery.

The energy stored by KERS can generate up to 60 kW which can be used by the driver for up to 6.6 seconds per lap. The KERS system is not located inside the survival cell of the Williams 2011 F1 car, below the fuel tank.

The Williams 2011 F1 car features the new moveable rear wing which can increase the front slot gap until it reaches 50 mm. This will increase speeds by up to 15 km/h.

The Williams 2011 F1 car weighs 640 kg, which is 20 kg more than last year, and has a weight distribution of 46% on the front axle and the rest on the rear one.
