Local Motors has announced that it will preview the production version of the Local Motors Rally Fighter at the SEMA 2010 show in Las Vegas. They have also released a new promotional video showing the Local Motors Rally Fighter in action. The manufacturers call the Local Motors Rally Fighter the "world's first open source production car" which means that you can download the body and chassis data and configure your own vehicle. The carmaker says it gives you even more freedom with the Local Motors Rally Fighter, so you can develop and build your own parts and sell them to other owners.

The standard Local Motors Rally Fighter is powered by a LS3 6.2-litre V8 engine developing 430 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque.

The Local Motors Rally Fighter is rear-wheel-drive and is equipped with an automatic version. However, for a better driving experience, you should stick a proper manual in there. The Local Motors Rally Fighter has a 2+2 seats configuration which means you can take your buddies for the ride of their life.
