Seat revealed this week a new Ibiza Cupra concept, which is very close to its production form. The 2013 Seat Ibiza Cupra (production model) is going to be powered by a 1.4-litre TSI four-cylinder petrol engine, featuring direct injection, a turbocharger and a supercharger. This new engine is able to deliver a maximum of 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Even though this doesn't seem to be much, you have to take into account the weight and dimensions of the Ibiza Cupra. Seat's new pocket rocket will come equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox with steering wheel mounted shift paddles, and an XDS electronic differential lock. Seat's new Ibiza Cupra (2013) is going to be equipped with high-performance brakes and optionally, with the " Portable System".

Seat's Portable System includes both navigation functions and entertainment controls.

The Seat Ibiza Cupra Concept is based on the three-door version of the model, and comes with a number of distinctive design features. These include a new front bumper with integrated LED foglights, a new front grille, and new side skirts. The rear of the 2013 Ibiza Cupra shows a modified bumper with large air vents, a diffuser with an integrated central exhaust and a discreet roof spoiler. The bi-xenon headlights of the future Ibiza Cupra (2013) come with integrated LED DRLs.

The concept sits on 17-inch alloys and is finished in Crono Yellow. The production version of the future Seat Ibiza Cupra (2013) will probably be available in a number of other exterior colors too.

At the interior, the Ibiza Cupra Concept features a sports steering wheel, and leather sport seats. Watch the concept in action on video lower down this page.
