The Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel has also been announced to premiere at this year's Paris Motor Show. The Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel is powered by a Horizontally-Opposed 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve turbo diesel engine with 1998 cc of displacement that6 outputs 110 kW (150 PS) at 3600 rpm and 350 Nm (35.7 kgf·m) of torque between 1800 rpm and 2400 rpm. The Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel is equipped with common rail fuel injection and a variable nozzle type turbocharger. The engine of the Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox and features a new closed-type diesel particulate filter.

The Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel offers a 152 g/km CO2 emissions level, but the fuel economy has not been revealed yet.

The Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel has a newly tuned suspension that offers agile and sporty drivability, comfort and advanced safety, along with environmental features.

The Subaru Impreza 2.0D boxer diesel price has not been made public, but it will go on sale in January 2009.
