Superchips Press Release:

The latest 3.0-litre TDV6 variants of the Land Rover Discovery 4 and the Range Rover Sport HSE can now enjoy extra performance and refinement thanks to the ECU tuning skills of Superchips Ltd.

Careful scrutiny of the engine characteristics and the Land Rover / Range Rover’s Bosch EDC17 ECU engine management settings, allied to comprehensive chassis dyno and real life testing by Superchips technicians, has enabled the firm to locate and remove compromises in both vehicles’ performance.

Superchips optimisation of the 3.0-litre TDV6’s engine management settings has resulted in a remap for the latest versions of the Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport HSE that offers additional pace, flexibility and smoothness. Post installation, the performance improvements realised by the Superchips ECU remap are striking.

The Land Rover / Range Rover 3.0 TDV6’s power output increases by over 30 bhp at 3632 rpm, equating to a maximum of 282 bhp (compared to a measured 247 bhp as standard,) with gains from just 1500 rpm.

The Superchips ECU remap considerably improves torque output throughout the rev range, increasing it by 67 Nm at 2520 rpm to total of 638 Nm (465 lb.ft,) compared with a measured 587 Nm from the factory. Crucially, for off road use, towing or relaxed cruising, over 600 Nm (438 lb.ft) is available from 1600 – 3200 rpm, highlighting the user-friendliness of the Superchips ECU remap.

Despite the performance increase, Superchips is confident that if a remapped version of the Land Rover Discovery 4 or Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6 is driven in a ‘like for like’ manner against the standard version, owners will experience noticeable fuel economy improvements due to the additional low rev torque delivered by the Superchips upgrade.

Installation of the Superchips ECU remap for Land Rover Discovery 4 / Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6 models entails customers visiting one of approximately 80 Superchips performance centres, where trained technicians can undertake the remapping procedure.

Customers can be assured that the Superchips conversion is covered by a full Customer Service

Guarantee and an industry-leading 12 month / 30,000 mile supplementary vehicle warranty.

Available now both directly from Superchips and its UK dealer network, the Land Rover Discover 4 / Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6 remap is priced at £445.00, including installation and VAT.
