The journalists from Autocar released a new video review of the 2012 Audi A6 2.0 TDI SE equipped with front-wheel-drive and not the usual quattro all-wheel-drive system. The 2012 Audi A6 they tested is powered by a 2.0-liter (1968 cc) 4-cylinder diesel engine, which outputs 175 bhp at 4200 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque at 1750 rpm. With a weight of 1575 kg, you could say that this version of the 2012 A6 is a bit underpowered, however, Audi's performance figures are decent to say the least. The 2012 Audi A6 2.0 TDI SE has a top speed of 141 mph and a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 8.7 seconds. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

With the 2012 Audi A6 2.0 TDI, what you lose in power, you gain in efficiency.

The manufacturer's official fuel consumption of the 2012 A6 2.0 TDI is 57.6 mpg with a 129 g/km CO2 emissions level.

If you're looking to buy a diesel 2012 A6, Audi is also offering a more powerful, 3.0 TDI engine that develops 204 hp and 400 Nm (295.02 lb-ft) of torque. The 2012 Audi A6 3.0 TDI accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.2 seconds. If you want even more power, Audi sells a 245 hp version of the 3.0 TDI that needs 6.1 seconds for the 0-62 mph trip.
