Video: Pagani Zonda R Review

 »  »  »

Recently, Jay Leno invited Horacio Pagani, the founder of Pagani Automobili, on his web based "Garage" show. Mr. Pagani brought with him his latest creation, the Huayra, together with Zonda's final and most extreme version, the R. The Pagani Zonda R costs just under 1.5 million Euros, you can only drive it on the race track, and you can't enter it in any competition, simply because it's too powerful and too fast to be allowed in any traditional racing series. Although Jay Leno doesn't get to drive the Zonda R, the clip does include a detailed presentation of the supercar, made by Mr. Pagani himself.

The Pagani Zonda R is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine from AMG, which is good for 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque.

It's built on a carbon-Titanium chassis and it has a carbon fiber body. Pagani does not disclose the top speed of the Zonda R, but they do say it can do more than 350 km/h. Their official specs say it needs only 2.7 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h).
