The new version is not actually called the Volkswagen Eos GTI, but it does get the same engine as the one powering the Golf GTI. Unfortunately, the new VW Eos GTI will only be available in Australia. The Volkswagen Eos GTI will get the same 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine that develops 155kW and 280Nm of torque between 1,700 rpm and 5,200 rpm. However, the Volkswagen Eos GTI does not have the same performance figures as the Golf. Heavier, the Volkswagen Eos GTI needs more than 7 seconds to reach 100 km/h and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The good news is that the Volkswagen Eos GTI will get the company's DSG automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Apart from the powerful new engine, the Volkswagen Eos GTI will also get various additional upgrades.
