At the annual police conference in Stockholm at the end of the month, Volvo is going to unveil the new generation of the Volvo V70 police car. The Volvo V70 police car is going to equip the Swedish police.

The Volvo V70 police car has considerably more performance than the stock car. The Volvo V70 police car has a reinforced and specially adapted chassis, brakes and wheels, an enhanced electrical system and an ergonomic working environment.

The Volvo V70 police car is powered by a D5 diesel engine developing 185 hp, but the 2008 version will be powered by a 200 hp 2.5 FT Flexi-fuel (E85) engine which has been "environmentally optimised".

The first of the new Volvo V70 police cars will be delivered in January 2008 and later in the year a four-wheel-drive XC70 will also be produced in a police version.
