Red Bull and Infiniti released this week a short video that presents some of the key stages of the development of an F1 racecar. It takes them around 5 months to develop a new Formula 1 car. In these five months they create the initial design, and they build various scale models. These models are then extensively tested in the wind tunnel. According to Red Bull, there were around 300 engineers and designers involved in the development of the RB9 alone.
