McLaren F1 LM Spec On Auction

 »  »  »

This 1998 McLaren F1 LM Spec will go on auction in Monterey, California, on 13-15 August 2015. RM Auctions does not mention how much it expects to fetch, but we expect it to be quite a large sum. The LM Specification McLaren F1 is one of the most iconic supercars of the modern era. It is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 680 bhp at 7,800 rpm. The McLaren F1 comes with a six-speed manual transmission, independent suspension on all four corners, and a central driving position (with two additional seats on each side). This is the 63rd road-legal McLaren F1 built, and it is one of two to ever be upgraded by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) to LM Specifications. Even though it is upgraded for racing duty, this particular McLaren F1 keeps all its comforts, including a satellite navigation system.

Apart from the performance upgrades, this McLaren F1 LM Spec is also fitted with a Extra High Downforce Package.

This McLaren F1 LM Spec comes with several other upgrades too. These include improved headlights, bespoke 18-inch multi-spoke wheels, magnolia leather and Alcantara upholstery, a more capable air-conditioning system, a helicopter-grade car-to-car radio and intercom system, 14-inch steering wheel, shift lights, and other. The supercar features a brilliant orange metallic exterior finish.
