McLaren P1 Revealed

McLaren revealed a few hours ago the P1, which is the successor of the mighty F1. The McLaren P1 is going to be premiered at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, at the end of this month. Back in 1992, McLaren put the F1 into production, and made only 106 of them, until 1998. It took the company fourteen years to come with a successor for one of history's greatest vehicles. The McLaren P1 hopes to follow the steps of its predecessor and to become the world's best driver's car on both the road and the track. Currently, McLaren's P1 is just a design study, but the carmaker promises to reveal a production version of the supercar next year. The P1 will sit above the McLaren 12C in both performance and price.

Unfortunately, McLaren did not disclose any specifications regarding the P1 at this time. However, the company's executive chairman, Ron Dennis, said that the McLaren P1 will overcome the F1 in every aspect. The P1 incorporates 50 years of racing and road car heritage.

We'll have more details regarding the McLaren P1 at the time of its official premiere.
