McLaren confirmed this week the P1's performance figures (0-62 mph / 0-100 km/h and top speed). Some reports say that the McLaren P1 managed to run a record lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife race track in just 6 minutes and 47 seconds. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet. Even so, there's a video of the P1's record lap lower down this page. The McLaren P1 is powered by a twin powerplant powertrain (a 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine and an electric motor) that has a total output of 916 PS (903 bhp). With this powertrain, the McLaren P1 is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 6.8 seconds and to 186 mph (300 km/h) in 16.5 seconds. The P1's top speed is electronically limited to 217 mph (300 km/h).

The McLaren P1 is able to run the quarter mile in 9.8 seconds with a top speed of 152 mph (245 km/h).

McLaren rates the P1 with a fuel economy of 34.0 mpg (8.3 l/100km) and a 194 g/km CO2 emissions level.
