MSO Reveals McLaren P1 Inspired by Alain Prost

MSO has just announced that they're going to revealed a special edition of the McLaren P1 at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed. MSO (McLaren Special Operations) has developed this one-off P1 as part of a series of supercars meant to honor a number of the iconic names to have raced for them over the last 50 years. Four-time Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost joined McLaren's team in 1980. Except for a brief period (1981-1983), in which he raced for Renault, Prost remained a member of the McLaren F1 team until 1989. Prost's rivalry with Ayrton Senna, who joined the McLaren F1 team in 1988, is the stuff legends are made of. MSO's special McLaren P1 features a livery inspired by Prost's helmet. The supercar's carbon fiber bodywork is finished in white with blue and red graphics.

Apart from the special livery, the MSO McLaren P1 Alain Prost comes with no additional modifications.

Apart from the special edition MSO P1 Alain Prost, the company will also showcase at Goodwood one of their rarest roadcars, the McLaren F1 GT.
