Today's rumor may just make the supercar world better. It seems that the legendary McLaren F1 returns. The company plans to use the McLaren F1 successor to take on high-end supercar manufacturers such as Pagani, Koenigsegg and Bugatti.

The McLaren F1 successor will be based on the company's P11 platform that is et to rival the likes of the new Gallardo and the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. The new McLaren F1 will be just as un-compromising and driver oriented as it was its predecessor and will probably will also have a similar price tag. The original McLaren F1 was powered by a 6.1-litre V12 engine with a power output of more than 600 hp.

The original McLaren F1 was built in very limited numbers, but with the new version the company plans much larger sales.
