New McLaren P1 Images

A new set of McLaren P1 images surfaced the web today, showing the hypercar from all angles. Unfortunately, no additional information about the P1 is available at this moment. McLaren is going to release all its details and specifications tomorrow, during the opening day of the 2012 Paris auto show. The most striking design detail of the McLaren P1 revealed by the new photos is the huge active rear wing. This wing can have two purposes. It either opens when the P1 goes beyond a certain speed, or it could be used during braking, just like in the case of the Bugatti Veyron. We're sure McLaren is going to clarify this tomorrow. Another interesting detail revealed by these images is that certain visible parts are made from carbon fiber.

These include both bumpers, the side mirrors, the side skirts and possibly the roof.

Currently, the McLaren P1 is just a design study, however, it will most certainly make it into production. There might be minor design changes, but this how the production P1 is going to look like. We'll have all the specifications and details of the McLaren P1 in a few hours.
