Peugeot announced the RCZ R in November last year, and they haven't mentioned anything else about it until today. The Peugeot RCZ R, which is the performance version of the popular, TT-looking, coupe, is going to have its world premiere at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The R versions of the Peugeot RCZ is powered by a 1.6-liter THP Twin-Scroll turbocharged engine, that develops 199 kW / 270 Hp at 6,000 rpm and 330 Nm of torque between 1,900 rpm and 5,500 rpm. Peugeot says that the RCZ R is capable of getting from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds and that it can reach a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). In terms of efficiency, Peugeot's RCZ R promises to offer an 8.4 liters/100 km fuel economy in the city, 5.1 liters/100 km on the highway and a 6.3 liters/100 km fuel consumption on the combined cycle. Its CO2 emissions are rated at 145 g/km. The engine of the RCZ is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Peugeot RCZ comes with a Torsen limited slip differential, a 10 mm lowered ride height, 19-inch alloys, a fixed rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. At the interior, Peugeot gave the RCZ R several distinctive features such as red overstitching, Nappa leather and Alcantara and various logos and badges. The RCZ R is also equipped with a small steering wheel, the short gear lever and an aluminum gear knob. There are also sport bucket seats.

The Peugeot RCZ R is fitted with a special suspensions system, 4-piston brake calipers and 380 mm discs.
