AMG released the first photos and details of the 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG. The 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG is "dressed" in a distinctive body kit including: an new AMG bonnet, spoiler lip, front apron air outlets and matt silver painted AMG trim panels with “6.3 AMG” lettering in the front wings. The 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG comes with darkened bi-xenon headlamps, darkened tail lights incl. third brake light, AMG sports exhaust system with two oval twin chromeplated tailpipes and 9-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a new triple-spoke design.
The interior of the 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG comes equipped with sports seats, a new AMG DRIVE UNIT, ergonomic sports steering wheel and a new instrument cluster.
The 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG's interior also features carbon-fiber trim elements, brushed stainless steel door sill panels with AMG lettering
and nappa leather upholstery.
The 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG is powered by an AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine that outputs 386 kW/525 hp. The engine is coupled with a an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. Other performance upgrades of the 2008 Mercedes SL 63 AMG include a 3-stage ESP (ON/SPORT/OFF),
high-performance braking system, sports suspension and AMG speed-sensitive steering.
