The NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) website announced the premiers for the 2008 show. Ford, Kia, Hyundai, Mercedes, Subaru and a lot more car companies give hints of what they're going to premiere at the 2008 NAIAS.

Ford will unveil a new small concept vehicle based on a 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show concept. This new small concept is aimed at the U.S. market. The NAIAS small Ford Concept will use the B-segment platform from the Ford Verve, but will have a different body.

Ford executives say the Verve and the upcoming Detroit concept hint at the automaker’s new design direction for future compact cars.

KIA announces that it will unveil its seven passenger sport utility vehicle, codenamed HM, that is derived from the Mesa concept. The new Kia seven seater will be a 2009 model and it will be larger than the Sorento.

Hyundai announced that it will unveil the production version of the Genesis sedan. The 2008 Genesis rides on a rear-wheel-drive premium sports sedan architecture and is powered by a V8 engine.

Mazda also announced its presence with the “most realistic level yet” interpretation of its Nagare design theme in the form of a new concept..

Mitsubishi announces the world premiere of a new concept car and a new production car. The details of those vehicles will be made public in December.

Suzuki will present a concept that will be presented in public for the first time at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show this week.

Subaru and Mercedes also announced one world debut each for the 2008 NAIAS.
