The production of the Tesla Roadster gets the green light with the first 50 cars being built in the first quarter of the next year. Tesla announced that 600 additional cars will be built in the 2008 model year.
Tesla will stop taking reservations for 2008 Roadsters and will start a waiting list for people interested in reserving a car in the future. If you sign up for the waiting list you will not be guaranteed a 2008 Tesla Roadster, but Tesla will inform you of any increase in production numbers. The same waiting list will be used for the 2009 Tesla Roadster.
If you have already reserved your
2008 Tesla Roadster, you will be receiving the first model year version of the car.
