The Tesla Roadster race car made an appearance at this year's ROC (2010 Race Of Champions) and was driven by Formula 1 world champions Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost. The Tesla Roadster race car is one of the first electric vehicle to take part in this event and has received various modifications to prepare it for racing conditions. The Tesla Roadster race car is able to get from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and has a top speed of 201 km/h.

The 2010 ROC is the most important racing event to feature the Tesla Roadster so far. Fredrik Johnsson, one of the founders of the Race Of Champions said "I’m lucky to have had a ride in the Tesla Roadster and I was really impressed. It’s silent but blindingly quick! I’m proud that
