Fisker Automotive has unveiled yesterday at the Detroit auto show the production version of the 2010 Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid car. With a price that goes near 90,000 USD, the 2010 Fisker Karma is able to offer a fuel economy of 100 mpg. The company has already registered around 1,000 orders for the new model.
The 2010 Fisker Karma features a Q-DRIVE plug-in hybrid powertrain with two 201 hp electric motors and a generator that's attached to a turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecotec direct injection gasoline engine. The 2010 Fisker Karma can run in two modes, Stealth and Sport, with the first one being electric only. When in Stealth Mode, the 2010 Fisker Karma can run for 50 miles on a single charge.
The 2010 Fisker Karma has a top speed of 125 mph and can get from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds.
