Fisker signs final assembly contract for Karma

Fisker Automotive and Valmet Automotive announced today that they have signed the final assembly contract for the production of the Fisker Karma. As a result the Fisker Karma will be built in Finland at the Valmet plant where a new body welding line will be built. The painting and assembly process for the Fisker Karma can be easily adapted to the production of electric and hybrid cars.

Fisker plans to start the production of the Fisker Karma four-door plug-in hybrid sports sedan in the fourth quarter of 2009. The first cars will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2009 and the company plans to reach an annual production of 15,000 vehicles.
