At the opening of this year's Tokyo Motor Show, Honda has announced the debut of the production version 2010 Honda CR-Z. The 2010 Honda CR-Z will be based on the 2009 concept which is on display these days in Tokyo and will hit have its world premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January next year. The 2010 Honda CR-Z will be a sporty hybrid coupe with two seats the promises to offer a personal driving experience.

The company says the production version 2010 Honda CR-Z will be powered by a petrol-electric powertrain coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The 2010 Honda CR-Z price has not been announced yet, but the company mentioned it will go on sale next summer.

"The Honda CR-Z will expand our lineup of hybrid vehicles and reinforce the fun-to-drive values associated with the Honda brand," said Erik Berkman, vice president of Automobile Corporate Planning and Logistics for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Beyond great styling and features, CR-Z will bring new levels of engagement and fun to customers interested a small car or a hybrid vehicle."
