Mercedes announced today the price list of the 2012 ML63 AMG for the UK market, where it will go on sale in the very near future. Powered by the newly developed 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine, the new 2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG is rated with an output of 525 hp and 700 Nm of torque. With the help of the AMG Performance Package, the new ML63 (2012) develops 557 hp and 760 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an intelligent AMG Speedshift Plus 7-G Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission. Even though it has more power than the sun, the 2012 ML63 is a lot more efficient than its predecessor is. Mercedes says that the 2012 ML63 AMG requires 40% less fuel and that it emits 30% less CO2 in comparison to the previous generation of the high-performance SUV. To be able to achieve a 23.9 mpg combined fuel consumption and a 276 g/km CO2 emissions level, the 2012 ML63 AMG uses its Controlled Efficiency driving mode and the ECO start/stop function.
Mercedes rates the 2012 ML63 AMG with a top speed of 155 mph and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.8 seconds. The top speed of the new ML63 (2012) can be increased by the Driver’s Package to a maximum of 174 mph.
The 2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG's UK price list starts at £82,995 GBP on the road. The AMG Performance Package will cost you an additional £6,165 GBP, while the Driver's Package is priced at £2,820 GBP. Another pricey optional extra offered with the 2012 ML65 AMG is the Performance steering wheel with Dinamica inserts, which will cost you an additional £420 GBP.
The British version of the 2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG comes equipped with a sports suspension, high-performance brakes with ventilated and perforated discs, Direct Steer and 20-inch alloys. Also standard is the Active Curve System with the AirMATIC self-leveling air suspension. For the interior of the 2012 ML63, Mercedes is offering leather sport seats, a Nappa leather steering wheel, and the COMAND Online system.
