Renault released today the images and details of the new 2012 Koleos facelift. The 2012 Renault Koleos facelift comes with a fresh new interior and exterior design, and updated technology and engines. Renault announces that the CO2 emissions of the diesel engines sold with the facelifted Koleos have been reduced. For example, the 2012 Koleos dCi 150 equipped with two-wheel-drive emits only 148g/km.
The design of the facelifted 2012 Koleos comes from Renault, but some of the technology underneath its skin was developed by the French car maker's partners at Nissan. The 4x4 transmission of Renault's crossover comes from Nissan. The 2012 Koleos will be manufactured at the Renault Samsung Motors plant in Busan, South Korea.
In terms of design, the 2012 Renault Koleos comes with a new front face, featuring large air-intakes on each side, a new chromed grille, slimmer headlights and new side mirrors with integrated LED indicators. The rear end design of the Koleos facelift is carried over from the current version. At the interior, Renault made several updates, including a new dashboard, and a new selection of upholsteries and trims.
The 2012 Renault Koleos facelift measures 4.52m in length and 1.85m in width and comes with a range
of petrol end diesel engines. The petrol range of the 2012 Koleos includes the TR25 unit with 170 hp. The diesel range is broader and you can order your Koleos facelift with a M9R engine, available with 150hp or 175hp. As previously mentioned, the 2012 Koleos facelift comes with both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains.
With the 2012 Koleos crossover SUV, Renault went for increased storage space. the new version offers 70 liters of stowage space, and a 450-liter boot which can be increased to 1,380 liters when the rear seats are folded.
The equipment list of the 2012 Renault Koleos includes a Bose audio system, navigation and dual-zone climate control, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.
Renault will announce the price of the 2012 Koleos facelift model range at a later date.
