Patent drawings of the next generation 2012 Smart Roadster have leaked over the web in the last few days. Judging from its exterior design, the new 2012 Smart Roadster follows the basic design lines and body style of the original Smart Crossblade, which entered the market in 2011.
These design drawings depict the new Smart Roadster concept car, which is probably meant to previews the design of the future generation of the model. However, we may see the Smart Roadster in this form, as a production vehicle which will be sold in limited numbers.
The 2012 Smart Roadster manages to keep the model's identity, even if it shows a completely new face, a newly designed Tridion cell, and new rear end styling.
Mercedes has not released any official information regarding this Smart Roadster patent drawings, but be sure the new concept will make its appearance at one of this year's auto shows.
