Audi revealed today the updated 2013 A3 Sportback, which is going to be premiered at the end of this month at the Paris auto show. The 2013 Audi A3 Sportback comes with several improvements, including a longer wheelbase, lower emissions and some of the best driver assistance systems of its class. Audi's 2013 A3 Sportback is 58mm longer than its predecessor and 35mm longer than the current three-door A3. The longer wheelbase, as you can imagine, translates into more room for the passengers and increased luggage space. Even though the 15 liters of increased boot space do not seem like much, they can make a difference when you need them. With the rear seats up, the 2013 Audi A3 Sportback provides 380 liters of luggage space, but when you fold them you get 1220 liters.
In terms of driver assistance systems, the new 2013 A3 Sportback offers all the goodies available on Audi's higher end models. You get adaptive cruise control, which works at speeds of up to 200 km/h (124.27 mph), stop & go, active lane assist, and a traffic sign recognition system. The new Audi A3 Sportback (2013) can detect when you're too tired to drive and issues a warning. It also comes equipped with park assist, a rear view camera, and the pre sense system. Audi's pre sense system for the 2013 A3 Sportback is able to tens the seatbelts, and close the windows automatically when it detects the car is sliding. In case of a collision, the same system applies the brakes to prevent the car from rolling uncontrolled.

Apart from these traditional engines, there will also be a 2013 Audi A3 Sportback TCNG version, which is powered by an 81-kW (110-hp) engine operating on e-gas. This is a new fuel produced by Audi in sustainable manner. The A3 Sportback TCNG emits less than 30 g/km (48.28 g/mile). Audi also promises that in 2014 is going to launch the A3 plug-in hybrid.
