Over the weekend, BMW revealed the latest generation of the M6, which comes both as a coupe and as a convertible. We'll cut to the chase and tell you that the new 2013 BMW M6 comes with a 4.4-litre V8 engine which develops 412 kW (560 hp) between 6,000 – 7,000 rpm and 680 Nm of torque between 1,500 – 5,750 rpm. Thanks to its M TwinPower Turbo technology, the 2013 BMW M6 coupe is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds, and it can reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). BMW rates the 2013 M6 coupe with a 28.5 mpg fuel consumption and a 232 g/km CO2 emissions level.

In case the 2013 M6 cabrio, BMW says it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds and that it can reach the same top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

The 2013 M6 cabriolet has a 27.4 mpg fuel consumption in the combined cycle and a 239 g/km CO2 emissions level.

In comparison to the regular 6 Series, the 2013 BMW M6 comes with new aerodynamics, a special set of 19- or 20-inch wheels and a bespoke interior. For starters, the BMW M6 2013 features a front bumper, with huge air intakes and a modified rear apron, which frames the trademark double exhaust pipes. The coupe version of the new M6 comes with a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof, while the cabriolet features a high-quality fabric soft-top.



At the interior, BMW equips the new M6 with an M double-spoke leather steering wheel, a special gear selector, and a modified center console, which houses the car set-up controls. The 2013 M6 also comes with a set of M sports seats covered in Merino leather, various carbon styling accents, illuminated door sills, and ambient lighting.

The list of "cool" features includes a Head-Up Display, and Night Vision. For extra safety, BMW also fitted the 2013 M6 with a Lane Change Warning system, Lane Departure Warning, a rear-view camera, Surround View, and Speed Limit Info. Internet access, and a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system are also on the M6's standard equipment list.

To get back to M6's engine, we have to mention it features BMW's latest technology. IT comes with Twin Scroll Twin Turbo technology, a cross-bank exhaust manifold, a High Precision Direct Petrol Injection system and VALVETRONIC fully variable valve control. The engine of the 2013 M6 is mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, which offers a Launch Control function and Low Speed Assistance. The 2013 BMW M6 is rear-wheel-drive of course and it comes with the Active M Differential.

The BMW M6 2013 comes with M-specific Dynamic Damper Control, DSC stability control including M Dynamic Mode and M Servotronic steering.
