The first images of the future 2013 Toyota Auris leaked over the web today. Toyota's new Auris (2013) will be launched this July, so these images could be taken from a dealer's brochure. Even though the 2013 Auris is built upon the same platform as its predecessor, its dimensions are slightly modified. The 2013 Auris is 3-cm longer, 5.5 cm lower and has the same 1.76-m width as the current generation model. This should increase its interior space and luggage capacity. The interior layout of the new Auris (2013) was also modified to accommodate taller occupants, while its boot is now 5 cm deeper and features a false bottom.
We expect the 2013 Toyota Auris to be sold with the same engine choices as the current model.
These could include a 1.5-liter unit and a 1.8-liter engine, which is going to be available in two power output levels (108 hp and 144 hp). Toyota will sell the 2013 Auris with a choice between a 6-speed manual gearbox and their CVT transmission.
In terms of design, the 2013 Toyota Auris will have a completely new front end, with redesigned headlights, grille and bumper. The rear of the 2013 Auris also receives a facelift, which includes more aggressive taillights, and a new bumper.
