The new generation 2013 Toyota Avalon has its world premiere today in New York. With stunning new looks and enhanced dynamics, the new Avalon (2013) hopes to build on the success of its predecessor. Toyota's 2013 Avalon is a mid-size sedan which measures 195.3 in. (4960 mm) in length, 72.2 in. (1835 mm) in width, and 57.5 in. (1460 mm) in height. This means that the 2013 Avalon is shorter, narrower and lower than the 2012 version. Let's hope it doesn’t have less interior space too. The new Avalon was developed in North America, which means its main market is going to be the United States.

The exterior design of the 2013 Toyota Avalon is dominated by its Double-eye PES (Projector Ellipsoid System) headlamps with HID (High-Intensity Discharge), its LED DRLs, and its 18-inch alloys.

Overall, the interior space offered by the new Avalon (2013) has been improved, as well as the equipment offered by the car. The new Avalon comes with the Entune multimedia system, better sound insulation, USB connectivity, a JBL Synthesis Premium Audio system, a HDD Premium Navigation with 7-inch screen, a 6.1-inch touchscreen and ambient lighting.

Toyota worked for improving the Avalon's handling straight-line stability and ride quality. For this they increased its torsional rigidity, improved its body bracing and optimized its suspension.

The electric power steering (EPS) system of the new 2013 Avalon has been re-tuned to offer better feel and enhanced controllability. The new version of the sedan comes with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and offers three driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.

The safety factor of the 2013 Toyota Avalon is taken care of by the usual suspects. They include the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), the Traction Control (TRAC), the ABS with EBD, the Brake Assist, and the Smart Stop Technology brake-override system. Apart from those the new Avalon (2013) also features a Blind Spot Monitoring system and the new Rear Cross Traffic Alert system (RCTA).

2013 Toyota Avalon's price and availability have not been announced yet.
