Toyota unveiled today the updated version of one of their smaller models - the 2012 Aygo. The 2012 Toyota Aygo will have its global debut at the Brussels motor show, and it will go on sale at the beginning of this spring. The price list of the 2012 Aygo has not been revealed yet. The major improvement brought by the 2012 Toyota Aygo is in the efficiency department. Its 3-cylinder 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine, when mated to the 5-speed manual transmission, emits only 99g/km of CO2, and has a 65.7mpg combined fuel consumption. When equipped with the Multimode automatic gearbox, the 2012 Toyota Aygo emits 104g/km of CO2 and has a 63.8mpg fuel economy in the combined cycle.

The Toyota Aygo is basically a small city car, so high power output levels are not required. The 2012 Aygo has the same 67bhp and 93Nm of torque output as its predecessor.

In terms of design, the 2012 Aygo brings a few improvements, such as a new front bumper with integrated LEDs. For the 2012 Aygo, Toyota is offering newly designed 14-inch alloys a fresh selection of exterior colors, a 35W AM/FM/CD package and USB and Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2012 Toyota Aygo price list, together with its full equipment list will be announced at a later date.
