Toyota announced today its premieres for the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show, which include three new concepts. These include the FT-EV III, the FCV-R and the Fun-Vii. The Toyota FT-EV III concept is based on the iQ mini model of the brand. The concept previews a future electric vehicle, with four seats, developed for urban use. Toyota expects the FT-EV III to have a range of up to 65 miles on a fully charged lithium-ion battery. The Japanese carmaker says that the Toyota FT-EV III is part of their short-term business plan, which means it will soon go intro production.

The Toyota FCV-R concept, or "Fuel Cell Vehicle – Reality & Revolution", is a hydrogen-powered family car. The FCV-R promises to offer enough interior room for 4 passengers and their luggage.

The FCV-R measures 4.7 meters in length and it's powered by a fuel cell stack and a 70 MPa hydrogen tank. Toyota estimates that the FCV-R will have an autonomy of around 430 miles. Toyota will build a production version of the FCV-R towards 2015.

Toyota's least realistic concept for the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show is the Fun-Vii, or Fun-Vehicle interactive Internet. We guess its name tells most of its story. Toyota did not release any details regarding the Fun-Vii, except that it represents a study of how people, cars and society can be linked.

We'll have more details on the Fun-Vii, FCV-R and FT-EV III at the time of the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show.
