Toyota At 2012 Tokyo Auto Show

Toyota revealed today a range of customized vehicles, which they will premiere at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Show. Yes, the new Toyota GT 86 is among them. With the help from such aftermarket specialists such as GRMN, G's, TRD,TOM'S and Modellista, Toyota is going to have quite an impressive stand at this year's event. TRD (Toyota Racing Development) and Modellista will each show their interpretation of the new GT 86 sports model. The TRD Toyota GT 86 comes with a bespoke suspension system, front and rear anti-roll bars, a carbon fiber front strut and additional cross-bracing. TRD's GT 86 also features a new aerodynamics package, which includes front and rear spoilers, side skirts, and a rear diffuser.

The TRD Toyota GT 86 sits on 18-inch alloys and comes with a Satin White Pearl exterior finish.

GRMN (Gazoo Racing tuned by MN) will present a supercharged version of the small Toyota iQ, which will produced in a limited run of only 100 units. The GRMN Toyota iQ outputs 128bhp (95kW) and 180Nm of torque from a 1.33-litre engine. It also features a six-speed, close ratio gearbox, bigger brakes, a stiffer suspension and a new dual exhaust system.



GRMN will also present at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Show a turbocharged version of the Yaris. The GRMN Toyota Yaris Turbo Concept is powered by the 1.5-litre engine, which now delivers 178bhp (132kW).

Toyota's stand at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Show will also include the Gazoo Racing FT-86 Nurburgring 24 hours race car, the G Sports Prius Aqua, the Toyota Auto 2000GT Solar EV and the Toyota Engineering Society TES-ERA EV.
