Gazoo Racing revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon the new GRMN aftermarket program for the Toyota GT 86. Details are scared, but according to Toyota, the GRMN 86 concept has a lower center of gravity than the factory GT 86 and a more rigid chassis. The Japanese carmaker also mentions that they improved the GT 86's powertrain too. The standard Toyota GT 86 is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, boxer engine, which was developed by Subaru, that has an output of 200 hp and 205 Nm of torque. This means that the GRMN 86 concept could develop a bit more than 200 hp. Judging from the images, the GRMN Toyota GT 86 comes with a few carbon fiber body parts. These include a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a massive rear wing. GRMN Toyota GT 86 is also equipped with a new boot lid, a modified roof and a bespoke bonnet with vents for cooling the engine compartment.

The GRMN GT 86 is also equipped with a mechanical differential, carbon-ceramic performance brakes and a stiffer suspension system.
