Toyota Camry Sleeper with 850 hp

 »  »  »

Toyota introduced at this year's SEMA show an 850 hp Camry Sleeper. In case you're wondering what a "Sleeper" is, it's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Meaning, the car is made to look completely unassuming on the outside. However, it has a monster engine under its skin. This particular Toyota Camry sleeper has more than 850 hp, but it looks like your grandma's car. Toyota powers their Camry sleeper with a 5.7-liter V8 engine, transmission, rear axle and electronics from a Tundra. It also has a TRD supercharger and a wet nitrous system. This Camry sleeper is also fitted with DOT 335/30/18 drag racing Goodyear tires, forged pistons and connecting rods, a Magnaflow exhaust system, and other performance parts. According to Toyota, their new Camry is able to run the quarter mile in just 9.8 seconds.

In developing their Camry sleeper, Toyota used products from various aftermarket manufacturers, such as Magnuson, IPT Performance, and Goodridge. At the interior, it features an Autometer digital dash, an Impact Racing safety harness, a roll cage and other racing equipment.
