The Japanese car maker revealed over the last weekend the global version of the 2012 Toyota Camry, which is already available for ordering on some markets. The 2012 Toyota Camry global version shows several design differences, in comparison to the United States version. The global 2012 Camry comes with a new front bumper, with a single, wide opening, a different front grille, more "squared" headlights and re-styled hood. At the rear, the global 2012 Toyota Camry shows a different set of tail lights, and a new bumper, but keeps the dual pipe exhaust of the U.S. version.
At the interior, the global 2012 Camry is pretty much the same as the USA model. It has the same center console, instrument panel and steering
wheel. However, the materials used seem to be a bit more high quality. It features various leather and wood trim parts.
The global version of the 2012 Toyota Camry will be available with a choice between two engines: a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and a 3.5-liter V6 engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2012 Toyota Camry 2.5 develops 180 hp (133 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 231 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm, while the V6 version has an output of 277 hp (204 kW) at 6,200 rpm and 346 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm.
The 2012 Toyota Camry has the same length wheelbase as the previous generation of the model, however, the space for the rear passengers has been increased. Toyota also took special care in reducing the noise and vibrations of the 2012 Camry, trying to offer an increased comfort level. The global 2012 Camry features heated rear seats, with separate climate and sound controls, and adjustable sun blinds. Toyota's global Camry also comes with 10 JBL speakers, a large touch screen, a unique air purification system, nine airbags, an adaptive headlights system (AFS), parking assistant and rearview camera.
