Toyota FT Bh concept

 »  »  »

Toyota announced today a new concept for the 2012 Geneva auto show, called the FT-Bh. As it's always the case with these announcements, the carmaker did not disclose a whole lot of details about it. They just sent us this sketch and a little bit of information. Toyota's FT-Bh concept is a design study for a full hybrid city car. It features an ultra-lightweight design because it aims to achieve low CO2 emissions and a good fuel economy.

When designing the FT-Bh concept, Toyota kept in mind low-cost manufacturing techniques and non-expensive materials. This means that the FT-Bh concept could preview a future budget vehicle.

Not much can be said about the design of the FT-Bh. Judging from the sketch Toyota released, we could speculate that the FT-Bh is a small, three-door hatchback, or maybe a five-door one. We'll have more details on it in the following weeks.
