The 2013 Toyota Auris was revealed today, ahead of its global debut, which is going to take place at the 2012 Paris Motor Show at the end of this month. The 2013 Auris features Toyota's new face, as well as new interior and new engines. When developing the new 2013 Auris, Toyota focused on a lightweight design, a balanced chassis, and good aerodynamics. The new Toyota Auris (2013) measures 4,275 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,460 mm in height. In comparison to its predecessor, the 2013 Auris is longer, lower and 40 kg lighter. At the same time it offers more room for its passengers and their luggage (360-litre boot with the rear seats in place). At the exterior, apart from the new design, the 2013 Auris comes with LED DRLs, various piano black and chrome styling accents, and 15-, 16- and 17-inch wheels.
The interior of Toyota's 2013 Auris has a more driver-oriented design, higher quality materials and a more pleasant feel than before. On higher grade models they even cover the dashboard in leather. Its air vents, audio panel, transmission tunnel, steering wheel and gear lever all have a silver colored trim.

1.33 DUAL VVT-i - 98 bhp / 73 kW at 6,000 rpm, 128 Nm at 3,800 rpm, 52.3 mpg combined, 125 g/km;
1.6 VALVEMATIC - 130 bhp / 97 kW at 6,400 rpm, 160 Nm at 4,400 rpm, 47.9 mpg combined, 138 g/km;
Diesel:
1.4 D-4D - 89 bhp / 66 kW at 3,800 rpm, 205 Nm between 1,800 – 2,800 rpm, 72.4 mpg combined, 99 g/km.
The 2013 Toyota Auris is going to be available with a choice between a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed Multidrive S automatic (CVT) transmission. The Start/ Stop technology is going to be available for the 1.33 Dual VVT-i petrol and 1.4 D-4D diesel engines.
The 2013 Toyota Auris hybrid is powered by a 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine, which works together with a 60kW electric motor. The total output of the new Auris Hybrid (2013) is rated at 134 bhp (73 kW) at 5,200 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The 2013 Auris Hybrid comes with an E-CVT automatic transmission and offers pretty impressive efficiency figures: 74.3 mpg in the combined cycle and 87 g/km of CO2.
