The images and details of the new 2013 Toyota Verso have been released today, ahead of the model's official premiere, which is going to take place in Paris at the end of this month. Developed by Toyota's European design team, the 2013 Verso continues to offer seven seats, but it now comes with a new package. Its interior has been improved and its engines are now more efficient. At the exterior, the new Toyota Verso (2013) shows a dual zone front styling, LED daytime running lights, High-Intensity Discharge headlights and a new front spoiler. At the rear, the bumper integrates a diffuser while the car features new tail lights. For the interior of the 2013 Verso, Toyota uses higher quality materials than before, including Nappa leather on some versions. Chrome accents are everywhere and lighting is made more consistent throughout the cabin.
The new Verso (2013) offers 975mm couple distance between the first and second row of seats, which Toyota claims it's the best in its class. There are no less than 32 seating configurations. With the rear seats folded, the 2013 Verso offers a flat load floor that is 1,575mm and 1,430 mm wide. You get 155 liters of luggage space with all the seats up and 440 liters with the seats folded. For better interior illumination, Toyota equips the 2013 Verso with a full panoramic glass roof that measures 2,340 mm in length and 1,280 mm in width.
Toyota is going to sell the new Verso (2013) with a range of engines, including a 2.0-litre D-4D diesel (130g/km CO2), a 2.2-litre D-CAT diesel (175bhp/131kW with 159g/km CO2). There two petrol engines: a 1.6-liter and a 1.8-liter. In terms of transmissions, you'll be able to choose between six-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic or a CVT gearbox. The diesel versions of the 2013 Verso have a towing capacity of 1,500 kg.
