Hyundai revealed today the facelifted 2014 Sonata sedan, which comes with several updates as well as a slightly modified exterior design. The 2014 Hyundai Sonata's new design elements include a re-styled front grille, HID Xenon headlights, LED taillights and a new rear fascia insert and two new sets of wheels measuring 18 and 19 inches. Hyundai is going to sell the 2014 Sonata as standard with a Driver Selectable Steering Mode (DSSM), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The new facelifted Sonata (2014) will be equipped with a sport-tuned exhaust system, a blind spot mirror, a Blind Spot Detection System and a full-leather steering wheel. Hyundai equips the 2014 Sonata facelift with a new navigation and audio multimedia system that features an 8-inch touchscreen display, 4.3-inch touchscreen audio display with rearview camera and HD Radio and fully automated temperature controls.

For the 2014 Sonata, Hyundai is also offering a ventilated driver's seat, a body-colored spoiler, an LED dome light, and a carbon fiber interior trim.

Just as before, the 2014 Hyundai Sonata facelift is powered by a Theta II GDI 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 190 hp at 6,300 rpm and 179 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,250 rpm. With this powertrain, the new facelifted Hyundai Sonata (2014) is rated with a fuel economy of 24 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.
