As expected, Nissan revealed today the new generation 2014 Qashqai, which will go on sale on February 1st, 2014. Nissan did not disclose the 2014 Qashqai's price list yet, but they did reveal all of its details and specifications. The 2014 Nissan Qashqai comes with a long list of new technology, including a comprehensive package of safety systems. The Nissan Safety Shield package, which is going to be available for the new Qashqai (2014) includes such systems as Front Collision Avoidance, Driver Attention Support, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection, and High Beam Assist. The new Nissan Qashqai (2014) comes equipped with a new Chassis Control system, which was developed with data gathered from the GT-R.

The 2014 Qashqai's Chassis Control tries to mimic the behavior of a limited slip diff. For the 2014 Qashqai, Nissan is offering full LED headlights, Intelligent Parking Assist and an Around View Monitor.

There's no point in talking about the design changes brought by the 2014 version of the Qashqai, since they are obvious from the photos. However, we have to mention that Nissan tried its best to improve the Qashqai's practicality with the 2014 model.



The new version of the crossover offers a 430-liter boot with the rear seats in the normal position. This is 20 liter more than its predecessor. The 2014 Qashqai's tailgate opens 150 mm higher. It has a dual-floor system, and two reversible floor panels which are able to offer 16 different configurations.

1.5 dCi: 110PS (81kW), 99g/km, 74.3mpg
1.6 dCi: 130PS (96kW), 115g/km and 64.2mpg (2WD), 119g/km and 61.4mpg (Xtronic), 129g/km and 57.6mpg (AWD).

Nissan is going to sell the 2014 Qashqai with a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox and a new Xtronic automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive version of the new Qashqai (2014) is equipped with the ALL-MODE 4x4-i system. The Chassis Control system, which is available on both the 4x2 and the 4x4 versions, combines three elements: Active Ride Control, Active Engine Brake and Active Trace Control. There's also a Hill Start Assist function.
