The new generation 2014 Nissan Versa Note had its world debut today in Detroit at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. Nissan gave the new Versa Note (2014) new exterior styling as well as improved aerodynamics (Cd=0.298). To improve the fuel efficiency of the 2014 Note, Nissan equips it with an Active Grille Shutter. The 2014 Versa Note comes with a 102.4-inch wheelbase, short overhangs, halogen headlights, fog lights and heated sideview mirrors. With 115.5 cubic feet of interior space, the new Versa Note (2014) offers 21.4 cubic feet of cargo space thanks to its 60/40-split fold-down rear seats and its Divide-N-Hide Adjustable Floor system. The 2014 Nissan Versa Note is powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine with dual fuel injection and Twin CVTC (Continuously Variable Timing Control).

Nissan offers the choice between a 5-speed manual transmission or an Xtronic CVT automatic gearbox. The Japanese carmaker says that the new 2014 Versa Note offers a 40 mpg fuel economy on the highway, 31 mpg in the city and 35 mpg in the combined cycle. This engine is good for 109 hp at 6,000 rpm and 107 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm.

The equipment list of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note includes an Around View Monitor, a navigation system with a 5.8-inch color touch-screen display, Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant, and Streaming Audio via Bluetooth. The standard safety systems offered by Nissan for the new Versa Note (2014) include the Advanced Air Bag System (AABS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

The 2014 Nissan Versa Note's price is going to start at $13,990 MSRP when it will go on sale this June.
