Nissan revealed today the updated 2013 GT-R Nismo GT3, which was developed using information gathered during the 2012 GT3 season. The 2012 GT-R Nismo GT3 was launched back in March and it successfully competed in the SUPER GT series (GT 300 class), Super Taikyu (GT3 class), British GT Championship and GT Cup. Nissan improved several aspects of the 2013 GT-R Nismo GT3 including its engine's performance and durability, the aerodynamics, the brakes and suspension, and the gear ratios. The 2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 comes with a new camshaft timing and several reinforced engine parts. The new race car comes with larger front fender louvers, new front canards, and a repositioned rear wing. The 2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 measures 4,780mm in length, 2,036mm in width and it weighs just 1,300kg.

Its power comes from the VR38DETT 3.8-liter engine that's good for 405kW (550 PS) at 6,500rpm and 637 Nm (65.0kgf・m) of torque at 5,000rpm.
