Nissan announced at the end of last week a few updates for the 2014 GT-R, which is going on sale next spring. As expected, the 0-62 mph acceleration time of the 2014 Nissan GT-R has dropped even further. According to Nissan, the 2014 GT-R is able to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than its predecessor. The Japanese carmaker say that the 2014 Nissan GT-R is more stable than before, and that it managed to lap the Nurburgring in 7 min 19.1 seconds in May last year. The car was still in testing at that time, so the finished product might be faster. Nissan expects the 2014 GT-R to able to lap the "Green Hell" in 7 min and 18.6 seconds. The power of the new Nissan GT-R (2014) continues to come from 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine with an official output of 550 PS.

There are several modifications that come with the 2014 GT-R. For starters, it comes with a more precise fuel injection control for better mid-range and high-rpm response. It also comes with a new oil pan baffle and a new relief valve for the turbocharger bypass that suppresses the rapid decrease of forced injection pressure. To lower Godzilla's center of gravity, Nissan's engineers revised the setup of the 2014 GT-R's dampers, springs and front anti-roll bar. The supercar comes with new cam bolts for better cornering, and they increased the torque carrying capacity of the driveshafts to the hub bearings. Nissan also added reinforcements to the dash panel bar and instrument panel member to increase the 2014 GT-R's body rigidity.

The 2014 Nissan GT-R's price has not been announced yet.
