2012 Nissan GT R vs 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S Video

In the latest episode of the popular British car show Fifth Gear, race car drivers Tiff Needell and Jason Plato compare the new 2012 Nissan GT-R facelift and the 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S. They test the 2012 GT-R and the 2011 911 Turbo S on the race track, where both supercars should shine. The first chapter in their comparison test is the drag race, obviously. In the second test, the 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S and the facelifted Nissan GT-R have to go head to head around the circuit, to see which one manages to pull the better time.

The 2012 Nissan GT-R facelift is powered by the same engine as the previous generation, but it has slightly more power. The 2012 GT-R develops 530PS (390KW) at 6,400rpm and 612Nm of torque between 3,200 and 6,000 rpm.

The 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a 530 bhp (390 kW) engine and develops 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft).

On paper, the GT-R facelift loses in the torque department, but in real life, the 2011 911 Turbo S might be in trouble.
