Toyota released today the first teaser image of the new 2014 Corolla, which is going to have its world debut on June 6, 2013. The 2014 Toyota Corolla is going to be powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with variable valve timing and a lift system. Apparently, the new engine of the 2014 Corolla is going to offer an improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. Toyota will sell the new Corolla (2014) with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, various sources say that they'll also make it available with a 4-speed transmission. The top of the range versions of the 2014 Corolla are going to be equipped with the CVT transmission. The equipment list of the new Toyota Corolla (2014) will probably include a GPS navigation system, push button start and an optional leather upholstery.
Judging from the teaser image released by the Toyota, the 2014 Corolla might be based on the Furia Concept. The Furia Concept had its world debut at this year's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
