Announced under the NGTC (Next Generation Touring Car) name back in September, the new Toyota Avensis race car gets its first live image as it's preparing for the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship). Currently, the Toyota Avensis BTCC is undergoing wind tunnel testing the UK’s leading aerodynamic analysis facility, MIRA. The engineers put the Toyota Avensis BTCC to find the best position for it's fixed rear wing.
The Toyota Avensis BTCC racer has been developed and built by GPR Motorsport and will have its track debut in the opening rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch on 3 April.
The Toyota Avensis BTCC will be raced this year
by two teams, Dynojet and Speedworks, and the company says they might be followed by other teams too.
